Exporters of waste material to China will now require provisional registration of the supplying enterprise with General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) of China. According to EPB here Friday, the AQSIQ has decided to strengthen the supervision and administration of imported scrap materials, protecting environmental sanitation, people's health and ensuring safety of industrial and agriculture production.
AQSIQ will not permit the entry of scrap material from unregistered supplier into the territory of China. The interested exporting firms would have to apply with AQSIQ, for provisional registration on the prescribed application.
