Federal Information Minister, Sheikh Rashid on Sunday said the US announcement to sell F-16s to Pakistan is an ample proof of successful policies of President Pervez Musharraf. "Pakistan's foreign policy has been endorsed globally, which also certifies that neither Pakistan is under any pressure nor facing any crisis," he said addressing a press conference at a local hotel.
Rashid said that internationally it has been recognised that Pakistan was heading towards right direction, leading to prosperity, well-being, moderation and enlightenment, and was appreciated at every level. The Information Minister said that India already possesses latest aircraft, including Jaguar, MIG-29 fighters, SU-30 and Mirages, and should not have reacted strongly to the US decision.
He further said that media, democracy and political activities were flourishing in the country.
About the allegations by certain opposition leaders that Pakistan had been benefited after compromising on nuclear issue, Sheikh Rashid said "there is no question of compromising on nuclear issue."
