Peoples Labour Bureau (PLB) Punjab will post special squads of its activists at the route of the reception procession for Asif Ali Zardari on April 16, 2005, to meet any eventuality. Talking to reporters at Lahore Press Club here on Saturday, Central In-charge Abdul Qadir Shaheen and Information Secretary of the Bureau Saleem Mughal said the high-ups of the Bureau had permitted them to depute those special squads to meet any untoward incident on the occasion.
They said the squads would perform their duties peacefully, creating no law and order problem, but if the government tried to sabotage the reception, they would not remain silent. "We will reply every such move on part of the authorities, and the government will be responsible for this whole state of affairs," Abdul Qadir Shaheen said.
He also informed media that an important meeting of the executive body of Peoples Bureau Punjab and its divisional, district and tehsil level representatives would he held at Lahore Press Club on 29th of March where Asif Ali Zardari would address them over telephone from Dubai.
