The Karachi Port handled 104,484 tonnes of cargo including 79,133 tonnes import and 25,351 tonnes export cargo inclusive of 4,419 containers, during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The cargo comprised of 72,984 tonnes dry cargo including 63,146 tonnes general cargo, 2,910 tonnes rock phosphate; 6,928 tonnes sugar and 31,500 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Ever Gather, Sagamore, Efdom Junior, Wave, Minsa, MT Johar and Chembulk Fortitude sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz Oranje, MT Shalamar, Apl Pusan and Pontoklydon are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Corinthiakos, Sea Balsen and Multan expected to sail on Wednesday, while two vessels viz Kota Wangsa and MT Sagamore are expected to sail on Thursday.
Four vessels viz Lauren, Iran Shahryar, Hyundai Highway and Global Prince due to arrive on Wednesday, while six ships namely Wilmington, YM Sun, Roi Rubino, Golden Express, Kota Merdesa and Suez Express are due to arrive on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 6,599 tonnes edible oil; 8,320 tonnes wheat; 6,429 tonnes iron ore and 4,556 tonnes containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MV Min Noble and MT Bum Woo sailed out to sea on Wednesday.
A total of four vessels viz Chemstar Brave, Chembulk Belle, Shintoku and Al Manakh are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five ships namely CV Oranje, CMA CGM Kingston, Chemstar Brave, Yong Feng and MT Shintoku due to take berths on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Sinar Sabang, MV Sonali and Ace-7 due to arrive on Wednesday, while three more ships namely MSC Jordan, Al Maqwa and Gold Carrier are due to arrive on Thursday.
