Lesco to simplify new connection procedure

Lahore Electric Supply Company (Lesco) is struggling hard to make the new connection procedure simple and speedy so as to extend the electricity supply to maximum consumers. In the current fiscal year, Lesco has provided 102023 new connections out of which 87246 are domestic, 11853 commercial, 1585 industrial and 1316 tube well connections. According to a spokesman of the company, during February 2005, Lesco has provided 8610 new connections to its consumers out of which 7168 are domestic and 1159 commercial connections.
