Early hearing of plea sought

A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) with prayer to direct the office to fix his petition against the jail authorities. He had prayed the court to direct jail authorities to arrange meeting of the prisoners with their wives in the jails. The petitioner, M D Tahir, also prayed to the court to direct the respondent jail authorities to allow solemnisation of marriages of the young unmarried prisoners at the jail premises and necessary facilities may be given to them in this regard.
