A Pakistani child has become the first patient in India to undergo a liver transplant. The patient, Rafiq Khan from Lahore, was suffering from genetic disorder, which could not be interacted with the liver transplant. The surgery of liver transplant was performed by a team of prominent surgeons, headed by Dr A.S. Wyne at the Ganga ram hospital. According to the father of the patient, Rais Ahmed Khan, the Indian friends contributed more than sixty percent of the hospital fee when his son was operated. Rais expressed satisfaction on the treatment provided to his son.
