Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Sardar Sikander Hayat Khan will lay the foundation stone of the 50-bed hospital at Sehensa town in Kotli district with a cost of Rs70 million here on Sunday. Brisk preparations are under way for the ceremony of hospital complex being established by Bostan Healthcare Trust. Trust Chairman and former member of AJK Legislative Assembly, Raja Munshi Khan, in an interview to APP, said: "The hospital complex will be ready for extending treatment to the ailing humanity by the end of October, benefiting the dwellers of Kotli district, including Sehensa and adjoining areas.
"Poor ailing population will be provided with free medicines and treatment," he said.
Out of 50 beds, 20 beds would be reserved for the private patients and the stipulated fee would be charged from those who could afford.
Bostan Healthcare Trust would bear construction expenditures of Rs 50 million from its own resources, while the rest Rs 20 million would be borne by AJK government, which had principally agreed to provide latest furniture as well as surgical and medical equipment besides all of the required medical and para-medical staff for the hospital, he added.
The hospital would comprise all specialist wings including medical, surgical, gynaecological, cardiac, children, dermatology and the administration blocks to be headed by the highly qualified specialist doctors. Special residential block would also be set up.
