Two persons were killed and two others were critically injured in a head-on collision between a car and a truck on Peshawar Road near G-11 here on Tuesday, police said. A car having number plate HW-920 carrying four passengers smashed into a dumper HR-4686 coming from the opposite direction while overtaking another vehicle in front of it. It resulted in instant death of two occupants of the car and severely injured the two other. The deceased were identified as former managing-director of Pak-Net Moin Sadiq and Muhammad Tariq. Wounded persons, Khair Deen and Abdul Karim, were rushed to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, where they were stated to be in critical condition till the filing of this report.
Police have impounded the dumper and arrested conductor while its driver managed to escape after the accident.
