In a major reshuffle, the federal government on Wednesday replaced the chief secretaries of Sindh and Balochistan, with immediate effect. Fazl-ur-Rehman, a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service who was secretary to the ministry of ports and shipping, has been posted as the chief secretary of Sindh, while acting secretary to the ministry of overseas Pakistanis K.B. Rind, a BS-21 officer of the District Management Group, has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22) and appointed as the chief secretary of Balochistan.
Outgoing Sindh chief secretary Aslam Sanjrani, a BS-21 officer of the Secretariat Group, has been promoted to Grade 22 and posted as Secretary, Overseas Pakistanis Division, until further orders.
Major Muhammad Naeem Khan (Retd), a BS-22 officer of the Secretariat Group, Balochistan chief secretary, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Social Welfare and Special Education Division.
APP ADDS: The Establishment Division notified transfers, postings and promotions of a number of senior officers of the federal government with immediate effect.
According to the notification issued by the Establishment Division, Shahid Rafi, a BS-21 officer of the District Management Group, presently posted as Additional Secretary (In-charge), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22), with immediate effect.
On promotion, Shahid Rafi has been posted as Secretary, Information and Broadcasting Ministry, until further orders.
Similarly, Ghiasuddin Ahmed, a BS-21 officer of District Management Group, presently posted as Acting Secretary, Minorities Affairs Division, has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division with immediate effect until further orders.
Syed Asif Shah, a BS-21 officer of the District Management Group, presently posted as Additional Secretary, Commerce Ministry, has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22), with immediate effect.
On promotion, Syed Asif Shah has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Information Technology and Telecommunication, Division, until further orders.
Salman Siddique a BS-21 officer of the District Management Group, presently at the disposal of Government of Punjab has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22) with immediate effect.
On promotion, the services of Salman Siddique will remain at the disposal of the Government of Punjab until further orders. Ismail Hassan Niazi, A BS-21 officer of the Secretariat Group, presently posted as Additional Secretary, Interior Ministry, has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22) with immediate effect.
On promotion, Ismail Hassan Niazi has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Narcotics Control Division, until further orders.
Sibtain Fazal Halim, a BS-21 officer of the District Management Group, presently at the disposal of Government of Punjab, has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22), with immediate effect.
On promotion, the services of Sibtain Fazal Halim will remain at the disposal of Government of the Punjab until further orders.
Mohsin Hafeez, a BS-21 officer of the Secretariat Group, presently posted as Additional Secretary, President's Secretariat (Public), has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22), with immediate effect.
On promotion, the services of Mohsin Hafeez will remain at the disposal of the President's Secretariat (Public) until further orders.
Abdur Rauf Chaudhry, a BS-21 officer of the Secretariat Group, presently posted as Additional Secretary, Prime Minister Secretariat (Public), has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22), with immediate effect.
On promotion, Abdur Rauf Chaudhry has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Housing and Works Ministry, until further orders.
Suleman Ghani, a BS-21 officer of the District Management Group, presently at the disposal of Government of Punjab, has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22), with immediate effect.
On promotion, Suleman Ghani has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Industries, Production and Special Initiatives Ministry, until further orders.
Suhail Safdar, a BS-21 officer of the Secretary Group, presently posted as Acting Secretary, Women Development Division, has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22), with immediate effect.
On promotion, Suhail Safdar will remain posted as Secretary, Women Development Division, until further orders.
Rasool Bakhsh Baloch, a BS-21 officer of the District Management Group, presently posted as Acting Secretary, Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas Division, has been promoted as Secretary to the Government of Pakistan (BS-22), with immediate effect.
On promotion, Rasool Bakhsh Baloch will remain posted as Secretary, Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas Division, until further orders.
Dr Shaikh Aleem Mahmud, a BS-22 officer of the Secretary Group, presently posted as Secretary, Social Welfare and Special Education Division, has been transferred and directed to report to the Establishment Division, with immediate effect.
Khalid Saeed, a BS-22 officer of the Secretariat Group, presently Secretary, Information Technology and Telecom Division, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Economic Affairs Division, with immediate effect and until further orders.
Syed Masood Alam Rizvi, a BS-22 officer of the Secretariat Group, presently Chairman, Trading Corporation of Pakistan, Karachi, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Textile Industry Division, with immediate effect and until further orders.
Muhammad Jamil, a BS-22 officer of the Secretariat Group, presently Secretary, Ministry of Housing and Works, has been transferred and posted as Secretary, Minorities Affairs Division, with immediate effect and until further orders, the notification added.
