The Pakistan People' Party has opposed the privatisation of profit-oriented units like Pak Arab Fertilisers, National Refinery, banks, Shipping Corporation and PTCL and termed the government's move as against the will of working class people. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Habib ullah Shakir Advocate, former member Punjab Bar Council and a leader of the PPP, said that rulers were violating the rules of monopoly control by introducing the monopoly of private sector, which is fleecing the consumers.
He gave details of different nationalised units and their profits.
