A meeting of the Sub-committee of the Public Accounts Committee on Home Department here Tuesday discussed alleged misappropriation of funds in the purchase of uniforms and other related goods for the police department in Dir. The meeting was attended by members of the NWFP Assembly, Inspector General of Police Headquarters Khurshid Alam, AIG Major Arif Muneer, Deputy Superintendents of police, Deputy Secretary Law and officers of the finance, home and audit departments.
The meeting presided over by MPA Anwar Kamal Khan Marwat, Chairman of the sub committee discussed alleged misappropriation of funds in the purchase of uniforms and other related goods for the police department in Dir district.
Chairman of the sub committee asked concerned authorities to submit detailed Para-wise comments from the concerned quarters.
The sub committee would again meet on June 9, in which members would hold further discussion in this connection.
