Saudi Ambassador Ali Bin Saeed Awadh Asseri on behalf of the government of Saudi Arabia handed over the hospital equipment to Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Mohammad Yousaf here on Tuesday. The state-of-the-art hospital equipment has been sent by Prince Fahad Bin Sultan of Saudi Arabia as a gift to the Balochistan government. Federal Health Minister Mohammad Nasir Khan and Saudi Military Attache' in Islamabad, Colonel Abdullah Saeed al Ghamdi were also present on the occasion.
The Saudi envoy hoped that the hospital equipment would meet medical requirement of the people of Dalbandin and other adjacent areas in Balochistan, adding this would further consolidate the brotherly relations between the governments and the peoples of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Jam Mohammad Yousaf commended the gesture of the Saudi government, and conveyed the gratitude of the people of Balochistan to the people and the government of Saudi Arabia.
He hoped that the hospital would pave the way for a wider provision of medical facilities to the people of Balochistan, saying this noble gesture would inspire other philanthropists to step forward and engage in serving the needy and the underprivileged.
Located at Dalbandin in the province of Balochistan, the Prince Fahad Bin Sultan Hospital is a 70-bed general hospital equipped with a variety of modern facilities, including: emergency ward, out-patient department (OPD), diagnostic/pathology laboratory, radiology department, operation theatre, labour delivery room, intensive care unit, VIP and geranial wards, nursing station, dispensary/pharmacy, conference room, power generation facility, ambulance, and mosque.
All departments are furnished with state-of- the-art equipment compatible with the best in the world.
