The Capital Development Authority (CDA) would invite fresh applications from working journalists of Islamabad and Rawalpindi for allotment of plots and flats in new sector I-15. On the directive of the Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, the CDA has fixed one-percent quota of plots and flats for the working journalists of twin cities of Islamabad-Rawalpindi in I-15.
The sector would have around 5,500 plots of five to seven Marlas and 8,000 flats. The CDA has also fixed 54 percent quota in the new sector for general public, 20 percent for victims of Islamabad, 10 percent for Army's Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs), 10 percent for the federal government employees from basic scale one to 15 and five percent for the CDA employees.
The process of allotment of plots and flats would be fully transparent and allotments would be made through computer balloting.
The new sector would resolve housing problems of the low-income group people, having maximum annual income of Rs 150,000. The bank borrowing facilities would be available to allottees for construction of their houses and flats.
