Information Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said on Wednesday that he had submitted his application to the concerned officials to visit the Indian Occupied Kashmir on June 30. "I am going there not in the capacity of a minister, but as an ordinary Kashmiri to offer prayers on the graves of my ancestors and to meet my relatives," Rashid told a private television channel.
Rashid said that during his weeklong visit, he would go to Zaindar Mohalla of Habba Kazal village in occupied Srinagar.
The minister said his relatives were settled in Aram Bagh and Raj Bagh area, and it was a cherished dream of his life to visit occupied Srinagar during his life.
To a question, Rashid said he would like to meet all the leaders of Kashmiri groups.
"I have seen and read the media reports attributed to Mufti Saeed and he would welcome me during the visit," the minister said.
Asked would he meet Syed Ali Shah Gilani, the minister said, the people of Pakistan cherished great love for the veteran Kashmiri leader and he enjoyed respect all across the world."
The minister said the people of Pakistan were also looking forward eagerly to the visit of Syed Ali Shah Gilani here.
