Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) will organise a training workshop on marine life protection at Comsats Headquarters here from June 9 to 11. The workshop is being organised in collaboration with IAEA on the application of nuclear techniques for the identification of poisonous sea species (harmful algal bloom) consumed by fishes as food, resulting in their mass mortality.
The workshop will be participated by researchers from relevant organisations like PAEC, IAEA Institute of Oceanography, Maritime Security Agency, Pakistan Navy, Centre of Excellence in Marine Biology and Export Promotion Bureau etc.
Dr Masud Ahmad, Member (Physical Sciences), PAEC will be the chief guest at the inaugural session at 9.30 am.
