Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has given two awards to Bank Al-Falah Limited for highest deposit to lending ratio among all the banks in NWFP and on the basis of maximum loans, and import and export business in the province during outgoing fiscal year, says a press release. Bank Al-Falah Peshawar Area Manager N-VI Mirza Naeem Beg received the award at a prestigious ceremony arranged by SCCI the other day for awarding gold medals to distinguished businessmen of the province and best banks of NWFP.
NWFP Governor Khalil-ur-Rehman was chief guest on the occasion. According to the release, Bank Al-Falah, ever since the opening of its first branch in Peshawar in 1999, has maintained positive approach towards lending the maximum deposits mobilised in all the provinces including NWFP.
The bank has a network of 110 branches throughout Pakistan and in NWFP 11 branches including five in Peshawar is facilitating the businessmen and general public.
The bank has recently opened a branch in Hangu district, which like many other small cities is the first branch by any private bank. A new branch of the bank in Peshawar at G T road has also opened in current month on 14th. The bank plans to expand business to Afghanistan and would open its branch in Kabul shortly, the release concluded.-PR
