Flood water in River Kabul inundated two villages, Wazir Qilla Daud Zai and Bela Neku Khan, in Peshawar district while 4000 people have been shifted to safer places in Charsadda district. According to daily Situation Report of Flood Warning Centre, all the rivers were flowing in medium flood whereas Kabul river at Nowshera is in high flood discharging 139800 cusic water.
The Relief Department NWFP has supplied sand bags to district administration in Peshawar to strengthen the river banks. The district administration in Peshawar is also busy in extending all possible held to the victims.
In Charsadda district, approximately 4000 people have been evacuated from the flood affected areas and some 600 families have been provided edible items.
In Nowshera district, boundary walls of some of the Kacha houses have been damaged.
The inhabitants of Nowshera Kalan, Pir Sabbaq, Pirpai, Pashtoon Ghari and inmates of Afghan Refugee Azakhel Mohajir camps have also been informed in advance to be ready for evacuation if there arises any flood damage.
Relief goods are being distributed amongst the flood victims of village Pashtoon Ghari, a village which has been inundated by flood water in Nowshera district.
Meanwhile, the Relief Department has established three more relief camps in Nowshera Kalan and Pabbi.
Moreover, 228 families have also been evacuated from the flood affected areas, 90 tents have been distributed amongst the flood victims, whereas 228 packets of edible items have also been distributed amongst the victims.
