Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers & Exporters Association (Prgmea) Chairman Ijaz A. Khokhar has expressed concern over unnecessary delay in issuance of instructions for allowing 6 percent R&D Support to Textile Garments Industry as prescribed in SRO 437(I)/2005 dated 18th May, 2005.
In a press statement issued here on Saturday, Ijaz A. Khokhar said that it is astonishing that SBP on its website www.sbp.gov.pk has released FE Circular No.6 dated 18-06-2005 but have not issued instructions to the Heads of Principal Offices of authorised dealers in Foreign Exchange in the country; with the result that agencies are not taking responsibility to issue/counter-sign the annexures as per SRO 437 in the absence of "written" instructions from the SBP in particular.
