FINANCE SECTION:
-- Developed SIDA's own Financial Regulations and Powers duly vetted by Finance Department, Government of Sindh.
-- Financial statements were prepared according to the International Accounting
-- Standards and were audited by the external auditor appointed by the SIDA Board upto 30th June, 2004 with unqualified report.
-- Developed FM Field Teams to build up the Financial Management capacity in
-- Farmer Organizations and Water Course Associations. FM Field Team visits each
-- FO and WCA and train them in book keeping and financial management reporting.
-- Developed output based payment system for the improvement of the watercourses under National Drainage Program in Sindh, which was also incorporated in the Sindh on Farm Water Management Programme.
-- Successfully completed the National Drainage Programme (Funded by the World Bank) in accordance with the covenants of all the donor agencies.
-- Drafted the Financial Regulations and Powers for the Area Water Boards which are under the process of vetting by the Finance Department, Government of Sindh.
-- FOs were provided with the Financial Regulations and Powers duly approved by the Board so that they can manage their day to day financial affairs through its guidance.
-- Developed the Financial manual for the Sindh On-Farm Water Management Project and got it approved from the World Bank.
