US stock indexes trimmed some losses on Thursday as investors jumped in to buy shares that tumbled after several explosions across London killed at least 33 people. All three indexes initially fell by nearly 1 percent. But by late morning stocks, stocks had trimmed their losses as traders assessed the news and looked at the downtrend as an opportunity to buy equities.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 20 points, or 0.19 percent, at 10,250.82. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 3.19 points, or 0.27 percent, at 1,191.75. The technology-laced Nasdaq Composite Index was down 2.85 points, or 0.14 percent, at 2,065.80.
