Japanese experts will assist national and multi-national companies in Pakistan in developing human resource management for strengthening their corporate competitiveness in the present day world scenario.
A four-member team of Japanese experts is arriving here on July 19 on a nine-day visit for this purpose. It will hold seminars at Lahore on July 21 and Karachi on July 23 and a follow-up programme on July 25 with former Nippon-Keidanren International Co-operation Centre (NICC) participants having been trained in Japan numbering 150.
The NICC has drawn up an extensive programme with the Employer's Federation of Pakistan (EFP) through delivering lectures and preparing a team of former NICC trained managers with their professional expertise to perform the job.
On July 26, the Japanese experts will visit some companies to evaluate how the training of their executives/managers has been converted into practice to play role model for others.
With the visit of Japanese team to the office of JETRO on July 27, the programme will come to an end and the team will leave for Japan on July 28.
The EFP has made elaborate arrangements to make the visit of the NICC team a success and ensuring that business in Pakistan makes maximum use of the presence of the Japanese professionals in Pakistan.
Federal Labour, Manpower and Overseas Pakistanis Secretary Malik Asif Hayat, Country Director of International Labour Organisation (ILO), Pakistan, Donglin-Li, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Mian Misbahur Rehman, Consul General of Japan in Karachi Shoichi Nakano and many more distinguished personalities are expected to participate in the seminars at Lahore and Karachi.
The NICC team includes Motoi Mizuno, a professor in Human Resource Management (HRM) in Japan and consultant to NICC, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sanshuseika Company Limited Shinichi Sainohira, , NICC Advisor Yasua Yamaguchi and NICC team leader Ms Yumi Katono.
