District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) Sialkot, Shafqat-ur-Rehman Ranjha, has said that detailed survey of dangerous buildings would be carried out for avoiding any mishap during the rainy season and in this connection possessors of such houses would be motivated for their shifting to safer places.
Addressing a meeting here, on Wednesday, the DCO added that adequate steps would also be taken for further improving the sanitation and drainage system for speedy flow of rainwater from the city.
He appealed to citizen to refrain from throwing waste and shopping bags in drains for avoiding the blockage and ensure smooth flow of drains. Tehsil Municipal Administration Sialkot was fulfilling its responsibilities efficiently and it had sought the public co-operation for maintaining cleanliness of drains and waterways, he said.
