Punjab Minister for Revenue, Relief and Consolidation Gull Hameed Rokhari has directed senior officers of the department to ensure completion of consolidation of villages in the stipulated period and a time limit should be fixed for that purpose according to limit area of a village. Strict disciplinary action would be taken against those officials who failed to complete consolidation work within the stipulated period.
He was presiding over a meeting regarding consolidation work in Punjab. Senior Member BOR Safdar Javed Syed, Member Consolidation, Malik Ayyub, Secretary Consolidation, Faqir Mohammad Javed and Consolidation Officers attended the meeting.
The minister expressed his displeasure over pending of consolidation work in different villages for last many years. He warned such officials would be taken to task who were creating difficulties for people. He said corrupt officials should be removed from service. He said the staff deputed on consolidation duty should not be transferred before completion of their task. He urged upon the officers to discharge their duties with commitment and dedication.
