The European Commission has begun investigating whether recordable DVDs are being dumped on the European market by producers in China, including Hong Kong, and Taiwan. In a latest investigation involving imports from China, the EU executive said in the Commission's daily Official Journal it was acting after a complaint was lodged by a group representing companies that produce 60 percent of Europe's recordable DVDs.
The EU has recently begun investigations into imports of shoes and strawberries from China, as well as from other countries.
