Kashmiri refugees dwelling in various camps in envisioning Muzaffarabad will stage protest demonstration against government for non payment of monthly subsistence allowance for three month.
The raged refugees will stage protest sit in, in front of central press club on Wednesday at 10.30 am. Earlier on Monday, refugees in Manik Payyian Camp No-1 and 2 refused to accept two month subsistence allowance cheques from rehabilitation department officials.
Refugees welfare organisation Pasban-I-Hurriyat Chief Uzair Ahmed has said that rehabilitation department officials laxity and apathy forcing thousands of refugees to starve. "One of our neighbour died of hunger two days ago as we have not been paid for three months" told Muhammad Murtaza. "We should be send back to occupied Kashmir if they (officials) could not provide us food" he demanded.
Uzair said that we have left with no option but to protest for food because shopkeepers have stopped lending commodities.
