Instaphone, one of country's oldest mobile service providers, is bringing in the next generation cellular communications solutions in the market, said a press release on Thursday. The introduction of these new standards of technology by Instaphone will give it credible service and cost advantages over its current competitors in the country all of which are using the widely deployed GSM standards.
As one of the oldest mobile network operators (MNO) any launch by Instaphone is expected to make great waves in the highly active mobile phone market in Pakistan.
There is a great buzz in the market as all major stakeholders in the mobile phone service industry are excited about the prospect of some major movement by the company that is expected to change the dynamics of the way that the mobile market operates.
So far there has been no official word from Instaphone confirming these rumours, however, the company is preparing for the big launch at some point later this year, the statement added.
Most industry insiders claim that being an owned subsidiary of Millicom International, a leading light of the global mobile phone industry that has a reputation of introducing cutting edge mobile solutions ranging from GSM, CDMA to 3G technology in over 15 of the world's markets.-PR
