As many as 1,317 polling stations and 5,479 polling booths would be established during local bodies polls scheduled to be held on August 18th in Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of Sialkot district.
As per Tehsil wise break up of polling stations and booths, there would be 653 polling stations and 2182 polling booths in Tehsil Sialkot, 294 polling stations in and 1272 booths in Daska Tehsil, 155 polling stations and 648 booths in Sambrial Tehsil, 303 stations and 1377 booths in Pasrur.
Total voters are 14122867 including 745799 male and 667068 females in Sialkot district. There are 32 urban and 94 rural union councils in Sialkot district while Tehsil wise urban and rural union councils are; Sialkot Tehsil 17 urban and 33 rural, Sambrial Tehsil, 5 urban and 12 rural, Daska Tehsil 6 urban and 23 rural and Pasrur Tehsil 4 urban and 24 rural union councils.
Meanwhile, the electioneering is in full swing and campaigns initiated by candidates are going peacefully and within the code of conduct in Sialkot district.
