The Swiss franc firmed a touch against the dollar on Friday, as worries about a possible sharp deterioration in the US trade deficit weighed on the greenback.
The dollar last traded at 1.2462/65 Swiss francs, just below the 1.2474/78 francs hit in late trading in Europe on Thursday. The euro was trading at 1.5525/29 francs, from 1.5524/28 francs on Thursday.
The Fed lifted key US interest rates by a quarter-percentage point on Tuesday and signalled more measured increases were to come.
