A 35-member high-powered business mission of Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC), led by Rajesh Gordhandas, will visit Pakistan from September 14 to 21, 2005. During stay in Pakistan the delegation will visit Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
The delegation will reach here from Mumbai on 14th of next month and leave for Islamabad on 16th. From Islamabad it will proceed to Lahore on 18th and from Lahore to Karachi on 20 September. The delegation will go back home from Karachi on September 21.
The delegation is interested in exporting sugar plants and machinery, power plants up to 50 MW on EPC basis, cement plants and machinery and in import of furniture with inlay from Pakistan, import of Pakistani cotton into India and export of Indian cotton to Pakistan, to develop possible joint ventures and technology transfer.
It is also looking to explore possibilities of trade partnership, promote Indian tourism, explore possibility of exports which are currently routed via Dubai, shipping and supply of coal and automobile etc.
