University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has announced admissions in various undergraduate courses for the academic session of 2005-2006 at the main campus and College of Agriculture, Dera Ghazi Khan (DGK) and at Toba Tek Singh (TTS) sub-campus.
Giving details of the courses, Chaudhry Muhammad Hussain, the UAF Registrar said here on Friday that these include 4-year BSc (Honours) Agriculture at Faisalabad and Dera Ghazi Khan campuses, BSc (Honors) Poultry Sciences at TTS sub-campus, BSc Home Economics for female candidates only, BSc (Honors) Agriculture and Resource Economics, BSc Agricultural Engineering and 5-year course of Doctor of Veterinary Medicines (DVM).
He clarified that there was no facility of hostel at DGK and TTS at present. Eligible candidates can submit applications to the concerned dean/director, and principal/in-charge on the prescribed forms, by September 3, 2005.
The list of selected candidates will be displayed on the notice boards of the concerned faculties /Division/College after finalisation of admission on open merit in the last week of September 2005.
Scholarships/financial assistance for needy students was also available under Pak-US Need Based, Japanese International Co-operation Agency (JICA) Fund and Higher Education Commission Programme, he added.
Candidates seeking admission on the basis of sports are required to submit separate forms along with documentary evidence in addition to open merit form to the directorate of sports Faisalabad campus, and principal/officer in-charge of DGK and TTS campuses.
Those applying on seats reserved for disabled persons should attach certificates on the prescribed forms regarding the assessment of disability issued by the district assessment board.
About the evening college programme, the Registrar said that some seats in all degree courses, except BSc (Honors) Agriculture and Resource Economics and BSc (Honors) Poultry Husbandry, were available at the Faisalabad and DGK campuses.
This programme is open to all male/female citizens of Pakistan.
The entry fee for all the relevant degree programmes is Rs 100,000 in addition to the normal semester dues, he added.
