The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) would auction the impounded vehicles, electronic items, cosmetics, crockery and other smuggled goods confiscated from the smugglers, sources in CBR said.
They said the auction would be hold on August 23 at State Warehouse Tarnol in which 11 vehicles, ball points and other stationary items, electronic and electric appliances, crockery, cosmetics would be put for open auction.
The customs department has impounded all the vehicles being put on auction because they were non-custom paid vehicles and driven illegally, sources said. They said the vehicles being put on auction include Bedford Truck model 1984, Nissan Truck (1988), Pajero Jeep Inter-cooler Diesel 1996, Toyota Corolla Car Diesel 1987, Mercedez Car Petrol 1991 (Auto Transmission 4 Cylinder), Mercedez Car Petrol 1986 (Auto Transmission 6 Cylinder), Toyota Land cruiser diesel 1991 (3 Door), Toyota Corolla Car petrol 1992 (Auto Transmission FE), Toyota Corolla Car 1988, Toyota Land cruiser diesel 1992 (5 door) and Mazda Single Cabin pick up Diesel 1991.
Beside these vehicles many other smuggled items recovered by Customs Department in different search operations would be put on auction, they added.
