New York raw sugar prices slipped on Tuesday, languishing within the range from the previous session, when the benchmark contract plumbed the lowest level in a month. The New York Board of Trade's October raws contract ended down 0.02 cent at 9.58 cents a lb, trading from 9.65 to 9.54 cents.
March futures went down 0.03 to 9.91 cents and the rest of the board was from 0.03 to 0.01 cent easier.
On Monday, October raws bottomed at 9.50, the lowest price since July 21. That level was both resistance and support in July, when prices were rallying to this month's contract and 4-1/2 year highs.
