The Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs will send at least 25 youngsters from Pakistan to China on youth international tour. The group will comprise both male and female from each province, including five from Punjab, four from NWFP, three from AJK, one from Islamabad, five from Sindh, three from Balochistan and two each from Fata and Northern Areas.
State Minister for Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Senator, Mohammad Ali Durrani, disclosed this here on Wednesday. The names were selected through computerised lucky draw in which those 225 participants were included who participated the national youth convention from July 18-20 this year in Islamabad.
The youth would visit to China probably in September or October, whereas they would pay visits to universities, different places of historical and cultural importance as well as have an extensive interaction with the youth of the visiting country, Durrani added.
To promote health activities among the young generation, the ministry would conduct youth conventions at district and tehsil level, Durrani said.
A mega youth convention would also be held in Northern Areas, where some selected youngsters from across the country would participate, he maintained.
According to the lucky draw, Muhammad Saleem, Jamshed Ahmed Jokhio, Ms Kaveeta Kumari, Ms Sheeba Kehar and Mehwish Abro would participate from Sindh, Adnan Khan, Ashir Ghazi, Fatima Masood, Ms Moazama Ibrar and Zaheer Ahmed Nawaz from Punjab, Ibtasham Ali, Zahidullah Khan, Miss Asmat Nazir and Sabila Nawaz from NWFP, Ayub Muttasir and Eda Khatoon from NAs, Ms Amber Hanif from Islamabad, Mehdi Raza and Saeeda Rehman from Fata, Gul Afroz, Shagufta Rafiq and Mohammad Nausherwan from Balochistan and Hassan Siddique and Farzana Rathore and Usman Akhlaq from Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
Ms Naurin, reporter from PPI and Zulfiqar Ali cameraman from KTN would represent the media team whose names were also included in the lucky draw.
