Trade Union groups, contesting elections for Wasa Workers Union Rawalpindi (WWUR) have been allotted the election symbols for the upcoming trade union elections.
The Chairman Election Commission Khizar Hayat Gondal, told reporters here on Monday that he has allotted the symbol of flower to Shaheen Group, while Moon to Ittehad Group.
The election scheduled on September 28 would elect the new Chairman, President, Secretary General and other office-bearers of the WWUR for the tenure of three years from 2005 to 2008.
The WWUR has 550 voters, who use their franchise to elect their representative in the union.
