A two-day inter-regional conference on 'Violence against women' would start here from September 7. The conference would be attended by 65 delegates from 25 countries including USA, UK, Sweden, Canada, Norway and Saudi Arabia.
Invitations have been extended to the In-charges of Ministry of Women Development of various countries with two members each from the civil society organisations and newsmen besides the chairperson of the National Commission on the Status of Women.
The experts will read papers and contribute as panellists in the conference. The participants of the conference will discuss the issue and prepare plans to check all types of violence against women in the world.
