The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) has successfully launched online admission system for the students desiring to get admission in undergraduate, postgraduate and other disciplines.
After launching of this online facility on university website, the UAF has become the only public sector university in Punjab, which has initiated Oracle 9-1 Web hosting facility. Dean Faculty of Sciences, Dr Rakhshanda Nawaz stated this in an inaugural ceremony of online award list under the chairmanship of Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad, Vice Chancellor of the UAF in his chamber.
Dr Rakhshanda Nawaz said that department of Computer Science has developed database of students, teachers and other administrative staff to expedite the routine matters at university level.
She said that by launching award list facility at the university website, department of Computer Sciences had provided opportunities to students living all over the country to get information about the status of their admission through internet.
Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad, Vice Chancellor appreciated the efforts of Computer Science department for initiating online admission and generating database system for the benefits of students and other university staff. He said the UAF has also launched a digital library programme in which all the journals and books for readers were available.
The Vice Chancellor formally inaugurated the online award list system and congratulated the Chairman department of Computer Science and relevant staff for launching this facility.
Project Incharge Imran Liaquat Baig giving his presentation highlighted the main features of data base process of the university.
He told the participants that through this online admission facility all the admissions have been registered in transparent manner.
