Supporters of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement on Saturday celebrated the 52nd birthday of Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain and the party supporters especially in Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Quetta besides the cities and towns of Sindh celebrated the occasion by distributing sweetmeats and praying for the long life and health of their leader.
In Karachi all the national and regional language dailies carried special supplements highlighting the event with articles contributed by various supporters and ministers of the MQM including the information adviser Salahuddin Haider.
The TV channels also telecast detailed coverage of the event including address by Altaf Hussain to his supporters in different parts of the country.
On the occasion, workers of the Muttahida also pledged once again to uphold the motto laid down by Altaf Hussain and reiterated full faith in his leadership.
