Mohammed Ali Shah Jamote, backed by Pakistan Muslim League (Functional), is likely to be elected District Nazim of Matiari unopposed, as the Awam Dost panel did not field any candidate against him due to compromise between Jamotes and Makhdooms of Hala.
While talking to newsmen here at Jamote House on Sunday, he said there remained only his covering candidate in the contest who would withdraw his nomination on Monday, leaving him elected unopposed.
