Samsung announced the release of the second generation interface hard-drives, the SpinPoint P80 series and SpinPoint P120 series here on Monday.
Shahid Khan, Marketing Manager of Samsung Electronics, speaking at the launch ceremony said, "We feel proud to launch this new and innovative product into the highly dynamic market of Pakistan and we plan to continue the tradition of introducing high end IT products to such a receptive audience."
He further said that with the age of digital technology upon us, Samsung was leading from the front with a large range of high quality digital products. With digital technology becoming more and more accessible to a wider audience and quality increasing with every passing day, Samsung was providing its consumers with the highest quality of digital products to satisfy their every need.
It was learnt that both of these new products were compatible with the company's first native serial ATA interface. The new SpinPoint series hard-drives support SATA II, phase 2 interface with its Native Command Queuing feature that allow it to boost the performance of computer technology.
This new technology enhances drive reliability and performance at lower costs. This new drive features technology that allows it to queue multiple commands at the same time thus allowing intelligent rescheduling and reordering.
