Occupied Jammu and Kashmir's former Chief Minister and National Conference Leader Farooq Abdullah has admitted that he had been advising India to bomb terrorist training camps in Azad Kashmir.
Addressing "Intra Jammu and Kashmir heart to heart talks" here, he disclosed that Indian government did not accept his suggestion regarding attacking Azad Kashmir.
He pleaded autonomy for both occupied and Azad Kashmiris. "The two parts of J&K should be granted autonomy by both India and Pakistan as this could be the only solution to the issue in the present circumstances," he said.
Dr Abdullah opposed using guns in a bid to resolve Kashmir issue, and held militants responsible for miseries of Kashmiri people who lost thousands of innocent lives.
He, however, admitted that the militants were not operating under the direction of the Pakistan government. "They were still being supported by certain vested interests," he said and warned, "it has dangerous implications."
He said that because of his anti-militancy approach, the Pakistan government had declared him persona non-grata and banned his entry in Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
