Pakistan is ready for a vibrant growth in the international markets for textile and garment products in the post-quota era. Ms Rupa Ganguli expressed these views at the InStyle Pakistan 2005 exhibition and conference.
Representing ITC-UNCTAD/WTO Switzerland, Ms Ganguli is on a visit to Pakistan to attend the InStyle exhibition and conference. She was presenting a paper on "Competitiveness of the Garment Industry in the Post-Quota Era for Pakistan - An ITC Approach" at the conference, which was organised on the second day of the event.
International speakers including Jitendra Sodhi, Managing Director India Buying Consultant of India and Khalid Sallem Zahid - Managing Director Glenfield Int'l Ltd of UK also addressed the conference.
More than 50 international buyers from 20 countries are on a visit to the InStyle exhibition where they are holding detailed meetings with the participating Pakistani manufacturers of textile and garment products. These include buyers from USA, UK, France, India, Philippines, Jordan, Hong Kong, Argentina, UAE, Bahrain, Sweden and Poland. The 4-day exhibition is organised by Pegasus Consultancy and is scheduled to conclude on September 24, 2005.-PR
