Lieutenant General Martian Luther Agwai, Chief of Staff Nigerian Army, who is currently in Pakistan on an official visit called on President General Pervez Musharraf here on Saturday.
The President welcomed the Nigerian Chief of Staff and wished him a pleasant and professionally rewarding stay in Pakistan. He expressed the hope that the visit would help enhance existing excellent relations enjoyed between the two armies.
Lieutenant General Agwai thanked the President for the opportunity to call on him and termed his interaction with the military leadership of Pakistan Armed Forces as excellent. Senior officials were also present during the call.
Meanwhile, Nigerian Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Martian Luther Agwai visited National Defence College at Islamabad and met Commandant Lieutenant General Shahid Hamid.
He remained with him for some time and discussed matters of professional interests.
He took round of different departments of National Defence College and appreciated the standard of education and training being imparted to the students, officers by the college.
Later, Nigerian Chief visited Heavy Industries Taxila and Pakistan Ordnance Factories Wah. He along with the members of his entourage took round of different shops being established at both the organisations and shown keen interest in defence related productions.
