Facilitating the taxpayers to pay their due taxes and file income tax returns, all authorised branches of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) will remain open till 8:00 pm on Thursday, (September 29) and till 10:00 pm on Friday (September 30).
All income tax offices will also remain open and receive returns till 8:00 pm on September 28-29 and till 12:00 midnight on September 30.
The Central Board of Revenue (CBR), as a part of its facilitation drive, has issued booklets, brochures and a CD (Income Tax Assistant 2005) aimed at assisting and helping the taxpayers to file their returns of income. In case any further assistance is required, taxpayers can contact "Tax Facilitation Centres", located at all income tax offices or CBR's toll-free helpline number 0800-00-2274.
The last date for filing of tax returns is September 30, the CBR added.
