Joint Secretary of GCU Debating Society, Soufia Siddiqui has been short listed for the Pakistan team, which would contest with the Indian debating team at the India-Pakistan contest being held in December under the auspices of the Debating Society of Pakistan.
Soufia was declared the best English speaker of the tournament at the All Pakistan Inter-Collegiate Parliamentary style debates held at Lahore Grammar School. Apart from this, Hafiz Riaz-ul-Hassan, a student of BCS final year in GC University Lahore, was declared the best Urdu speaker of the tournament at the all Pakistan inter-university parliamentary debating championship organised by the Debating Society of Pakistan.
GCU team won laurels at Debating Society of Pakistan tournament where the Urdu and English parliamentary teams were declared second and third respectively at the All Pakistan university parliamentary debating championship.
