Senate Standing Committee on Defence and Defence Production visited an Operational Base here on Thursday to witness ongoing Phase-III of Exercise High Mark-2005. The Committee Chairman Nisar Ahmed Memon led the team.
The Base Commander Masroor Base Air Commodore Farhat Hussain briefed the visiting members of committee about Air Operations being undertaken in coastal areas and Arabian Sea in support of the Naval and ground forces.
The committee members keenly observed the launching of air sorties and other operational activities at the base. They also interacted with officers and men of the base. The members were apprised of different Joint Operational activities being undertaken by Pakistan Air Force during Exercise High Mark-2005.
The members of the committee besides its chairman included senators Muhammad Akram, Asif Jatoi, Waqar Ahmed Khan, Mouhim Khan Baloch, Naeem Hussain Chatta, Farhat Ullah Babar, Rukhsana Zuberi and Secretary to Defence Committee Shahiq A Khan.
