The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notice to director FIA (immigration) in a petition filed by one Liaquat Ali, who approached the court against the FIA officials with prayer to the court to direct the respondents to act in accordance with the law.
The petitioner contended that the respondent officials stopped him at airport when he returned back from abroad. The respondents kept him in their illegal custody for eight hours and also refused to stamp his passport.
He prayed to the court to direct the high ups of the FIA to take disciplinary action against the responsible officials.
The court, after hearing the petitioner's counsel at length, issued notice to director FIA and called for a report.
