Mian Zaka-ur-Rehman has been unanimously elected Chairman of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers' Association (PPMA) for the term 2005-06. The 40th annual general meeting and elections of PPMA were held on September 27. Zahid Saeed, MD Indus Pharma, Karachi was elected vice chairman unopposed.
According to election results announced by PPMA here on Thursday Abdul Rehman Memon, Anis A Shah, Amjad Ali Khan, Muhammad Ali Majid and Shamim Ahmed were elected members of Central Executive Committee from Southern Region (Sindh & Balochistan) while Dr M Akram Chaudhry, Najam-ul-Hassan Jawa, Babar Mahmud Chaudhry, Dr Khokhar and Dr Zulfiqar Malik were elected members of Central Executive Committee for Northern Region (Punjab & NWFP).
Earlier, Babar Mahmud Chaudhry was elected unopposed as the Regional Chairman of Northern Region (Punjab and NEFP) and Abdul Reman Memon was elected as chairman of Southern Region (Sindh & Balochistan).-PR
