Rebels killed two pro-Moscow police and wounded another five in battles in Russia's disputed Chechnya, local media reported on Saturday. News agencies reported that rebels opened fire on police checking houses in the village of Terskoye just outside regional capital Grozny, killing two and wounding two more.
In a separate incident, three servicemen were injured in a bomb explosion in the village of Avtury in the Shali region.
