Hurricane Run won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp here on Sunday. Kieren Fallon put in a storming finish to take the win on the Andre Fabre-trained horse. Westerner, ridden by Olivier Peslier, was second with Bago, ridden by Thierry Gillet in third.
"I got kind of shuttled back at the start of the race," said Fallon.
"I wasn't worried. I took the shortest route to the line.
"I was really lucky to have a horse to get me out of trouble and I have never ridden a horse which had such a quick turn of foot."
